Peak Business

Dates Policy

What is a Peak Business Date?

These dates are high-traffic, high-importance day where staffing levels are critical to our store’s success. These dates are not a ban on time-off requests. Team members are still welcome to request these days off, but approval is subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Each location’s management team determines the maximum number of employees that may be absent based on that store’s staffing needs.

Requesting Time Off on a Peak Business Date

Time-off requests for peak business dates must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance. Requests submitted after this window will be automatically denied. Approvals are limited, once a location has reached its maximum allowable absences for that day, remaining requests will be denied regardless of how early they were submitted. We encourage team members to submit requests as early as possible to improve their chances of approval.

Call-Off Policy on Peak Business Dates

If an hourly team member calls off on a peak business date without a pre-approved absence, they will receive double the standard call-off points. Unexpected absences on these dates place significant strain on the team and our guests, and will be treated accordingly. However, if a team member provides a doctor’s note in accordance with our standard policy, they will receive zero points.

Peak Business Date Incentive

To recognize and reward hourly team members who work on peak business dates, all hours worked on these days will include an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your regular rate of pay. This incentive applies to every hour worked that day, regardless of shift length or role.
